Rise up
It's 8:30 a.m. Grey, but it smells damn nice outside after a spring rain. Springes to catch woodcocks. I thought I was a more substantial presence in this world.
I do thinks this be a goodeth article on the hazaards and problemes afacin' universities aujourd'hui. I done read it in the NY TIMES. I did.

Back that thang up
I've been archivin' all mah junk. It's a pain in the ass, but it's got to be done. God, I'm dull. Enjoy life. Eat out more often. Looks like arms is two weeks late. eep. I think I'm changing the publication date to Friday. Here's what I've learned so far:
1) Monday is nuts because I've gots a busy teaching/preaching schedule
2) Weekends, I'm quite the family man
3) etc.
4) Luv ya, mean it
5) RIP Bea Arthur. The endless mortality parade. John Currin did this portrait of Bea Arthur Naked in 1991. Sad salute.

I'm a failure as a blogger. So what.
I've been busy. I can forgive myself. I've been doing lots of updating on the ArtH 330 site. Go there if you'd like to see fascinating slides on perspective, picasso, and WWI types of things. It might have saved John Quincy Adams' life if he'd only had access to such insights.

Finished up this big ol' print Sunday night for the S.O.U. Faculty Show at the Schneider Museum. Click on the image above or on this stupid hypertext if you want to see a high res version in all of its detailed glory. The final version ended up being 4.5 feet tall x 14.5 feet long. oooh. ahh. And yes, it was a long dark night of the soul getting this bastard printed out. The color profiles wuz all messed up.
Also, this will be the special Arms and Ether edition for this week. Must recover will to draw again . . .
