This Monday marks the first appearance of Pickelhaube and L'il Evan! So get over to Arms and Ether and differentiate yourself from the other animals by laughing.
I've posted the original Pickelhaube concept drawing above (from way back in 2003! ed.) What's better than a pickelhaube with that awesome spike on it? One with three, that's what.

Literally, a LOL from me. L'il Evan's face on the second panel just about killed me.
Very interesting to see the 2003 version of Pickelhaube to now. While 2003 works well...the 2009 drawings seem much stronger. More character too. Really great poses--the contrast on each panel really sold this guy's state of mind. He'd be a blast to animate.
